Crafting Lately - Faux Book Clock

It's been far too long since I last shared a DIY project with you. Unfortunately for the last six months or so I've been suffering from a bit of a creative slump when it comes to crafting meaning that DIY posts have been few and far between here at e-elise etc. Whilst I'm hoping to dig out some craft supplies and re-introduce DIY posts here more regularly again soon, today I wanted to share this simple clock project which I made as a gift for Ria's new home in Oxford.

To create the clock I didn't want to use an actual book so opted for a cardboard storage box designed to look like a book instead. I measured the centre point of the font cover/lid and used an awl to create a hole the correct size to fit the hands onto and attached them to complete the clock. As a bonus because it's a storage box it can double as a sneaky hiding place too!

What projects have you been working on lately?
