Character Style Inspiration - Juliette Barnes: On Stage vs Off-Duty (Nashville)

After enjoying working away on my Scarlett O'Connor style post back in September I thought it might be interesting to revisit this musical series and take a closer look at the style of another character; Hayden Panettiere's young country superstar Juliette Barnes.

In complete contrast to Scarlett's look, Juliette's wardrobe is much more structured, sparkly and features less sugary-sweet shades. Throughout the show we see Juliette on tour, at events, meetings and interviews as well as at home in her every day attire. So for today's post I'm looking at how Juliette's glitzy on stage outfits compare to her more casual and comfortable off-duty wardrobe.

Although they do contrast, there are of course some similarities between the two wardrobes with bold earrings, peplum tops and skinny trousers crossing over into both styles. There is also noticeable overlap with the colour palette as Juliette tends to opt for monochrome looks, and hints of red are also a recurring theme. Here's a closer look at Juliette's style...

Juliette Barnes: On Stage
First up is the more glamorous and outgoing section of Juliette's wardrobe: her on stage outfits. Full of jewels, glitter, embellishments and all things sparkly Juliette's performance wardrobe is certainly designed to make a statement and suits her sassy personality perfectly. Many of her outfits follow a monochrome theme with gold and silver embellishments. Pops of colour such as bright red leather leggings and the odd all-white ensemble also feature.

Juliette Barnes: Off-Duty
Although perhaps not as sparkly as her on stage looks, Juliette's off-duty wardrobe is still structured, polished and stylish. When out and about Juliette can be found sporting tailored tops with skinny jeans and heels, switching out the more fitted tops for casual sweaters when spending time at home. White and other light shades feature heavily in her off-stage looks with the odd pop of colour such as red cowboy boots or a floral shirt occasionally making an appearance.
