A little different to the previous two walks this route near Maldon takes you around the Blackwater Estuary where on a cold day like this no one can be seen for miles. The route was easy to follow and took around two hours to complete, mainly sticking to the sea wall, passing a holiday park, which of course in January was pretty empty. Although the Essex Walks site talks of views across the creek to Osea Island the winter fog made these a little difficult to see!
I really enjoyed this route and would like to walk it again in a few months time once the weather improves - I definitely would have been happier had it not been so cold!
