Library Haul #5

library haul 5

The Secret Diary Of Lizzie Bennet, Bernie Su & Kate Rorick (2014)
An expansion of popular webseries The Lizzie Bennet Diaries, a modern day reimagining of Pride & Prejudice, this diary style book has received some great reviews. As a fan of the YouTube series I was keen to pick up this one and relive Lizzie's journey!

The Night Circus, Erin Morgenstern (2010)
I'm a little bit late to the party only just picking up this circus-themed fantasy title that was released back in 2011 and honestly from the description I feel like it could go either way. The final unread book left on the list of five I vowed to read in 2014 over at Blogger's Bookshelf this one has been recommended to me multiple times so although I wouldn't have necessarily picked it out myself I'm looking forward to seeing what all the fuss is about!

Rooms, Lauren Oliver (2014)
The first adult offering from the author of the popular Delirium trilogy, Rooms is a mysterious tale featuring ghosts. Although overall I've found them a little hit and miss for me I'm always intrigued by a new Lauren Oliver release. Plus, I'm really loving the matte cover of this hardback version... perhaps you'll see it feature in a Cover Colour Inspiration post soon!

Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children, Ransom Riggs (2011)
Another popular title amongst the book blogging community, Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children is supposedly a fantasy novel uniquely mixed with vintage photography. From just flipping through the book the black and white photographs definitely have me intrigued and I'm looking forward to finding out how they tie in with the mysterious story itself.

The Testing, Joelle Charbonneau (2013)
Honestly I've heard very mixed reviews about both this book and it's sequels so it seems to be a bit of a love it or hate it series. To me the concept sounds fairly interesting but having read so many YA dystopian tales I'm really hoping it will have something unique that makes it stand out.

Have you read any of these books?
