DIY Birch Slice Frame
Today's project brings a little bit of outdoors inside with these awesome birch slices. I really love the raw, natural look of them as well as the texture you can create by mixing different sizes and thicknesses. The best part about this project is that it's easy to make your own with just a plain frame, a bag of sliced birch twigs and a glue gun!
1. Place some scrap paper onto your table and tip out your bag of slices - I picked mine up from a local craft store but they can also be found online
2. Place them one by one onto your frame until you are happy with your design
3. Carefully use a glue gun to attach each one on individually and once set/cooled remove any stringy bits of glue
4. Place your favourite photograph or inspirational quote inside the frame and you're done!
The cute little illustration I chose for my newly decorated frame is a free printable I found on U Create. There are six different 'is my happy place' designs to choose from, the others with Sewing, Quilting, Painting, Knitting or Crocheting in place of Crafting so there's something for all crafters!
As always I'd love to hear from you if you try out this or any other project from my DIY Archives - if you enjoy them please subscribe to my blog via Bloglovin' to make sure you don't miss any posts! :)
