Topshop Crayons in Whisper & Ramble

Topshop Crayons in Whisper & Ramble £7.50 each

Like most of the Topshop make up, the packaging of the Crayons is practical, pretty and good quality for the price. The lids click on securely so there's no chance of them falling off in your makeup bag (which is always a plus!) and the shape makes it easy to apply the product. I picked up the lighter shade Whisper when I was looking for a brightening colour for the inner corners of my eyes and it's perfect for that. On my way home that same day looking at the swatches on my hand I already knew that I should have picked up Ramble too. The third colour available is a yellowy-gold shade named Sunshower which I wasn't so keen on however it did work well for a video tutorial look that was posted on the Topshop website (which now seems to have now disappeared otherwise I'd link it!). In addition to the original three there is now also a fourth shade, a shimmery taupe named Mystical, which looks particularly lovely.

And the product itself? The crayons are creamy, soft, blendable and easy to use. (I usually draw directly onto the eyelid and blend out with a flat eyeshadow brush). The staying power is also pretty good and they don't crease too much although they don't have the same staying power as potted cream shadows. These two shades look beautiful used together as well as paired with Benefit's Birthday Suit Creaseless Cream as a base. I recommed snapping these up if you see them instore!
