Tim Burton Inspired Nail Art

Polishes used: Rimmel Rapid Ruby, Natural Collection Nail Tip Whitener, ELF Twinkle, Calvin Klein Tutu, Max Factor Red Passion & Claire's Accessories Nail Art Pens

As you can see this week's nail art design is something a little different (and definitely not for everyone!). I have so many designs on my mental to-do list but this idea is something I've been meaning to get around to for the last month or so. Originally I was going to do a Nightmare Before Christmas inspired Jack Skellington design but then I thought 'why stop there?' and ended up drawing inspiration from a selection of Tim Burton films.

The first nail idea, the bird in the cage, comes from Sleepy Hollow which is probably my favourite Burton film. The Queen of hearts playing card design represents Alice in Wonderland, followed by the original idea of a Jack Skellington nail design complete with a sparkly Christmas light-esque background. For the smallest nail where there wasn't a lot of space for a fancy design I chose a classic black and white striped design inspired by 1988's Beetlejuice. The thumb nail design is inspired by Sweeney Todd so naturally it had to be a blood splatter!

What are your favourite Burton films?
