Weekly Style Inspiration 30.

Dress: Miss Selfridge, Triangle Earrings, Shearling Bag, Striped Shirt & Ring: Urban Outfitters, Moustache Earrings & Mittens: ASOS, Nail Polish: Topshop, Cropped Tee: Forever 21, Wedges: Zara

Burgundy is one of my all time favourites so when I saw this dress in store last week I got a little bit excited, sadly I can't really justify purchasing it so it will be remaining on my wish list. I've been searching for the perfect pair of black wedges for a while now and I think these Zara ones may be the best yet. As much as I love some of the others I've found, I don't often wear heels so the height of these is a much safer bet! & I just had to include those mittens because they made me excited for Winter.
So, I'm now home from my last day at work which does seem quite strange at the moment as I've been there for almost a year. Everyone was very lovely and got me cards, balloons, desk decoration and unexpectedly some Topshop vouchers!
I'll be posting this month's film roundup either tomorrow or Friday depending on when I finish rambling on it... I'd also like to say thanks for the lovely comments on my last post about the shop, I really do appreciate them!

Changes.

Lots of things are going to be changing for me as after a year my temp job comes to an end tomorrow and I've decided that now would be a good time to focus more of my time on Sawyer & Scout.
This isn't the sort of post that I usually do but I thought I would fill you all in as the encouragement and feedback from blogging here is what originally helped me to make the decision to open my shop.
I'm hopefully going to be working hard on getting Sawyer & Scout to where I would like it to be. Right from the beginning I have always hoped for it not just to be a jewellery store but to also include a variety of items such as textile gifts, artwork and photography. As I've mentioned before I studied Fine Art at Uni so after a year of working in admin I'd like to put my creative skills to some use. Starting the shop whilst working full time has meant I haven't been able to build it up straight away so I'm taking this change as an opportunity to create what I had originally envisioned.
And here's where you guys come in... I've had some great feedback from bloggers like Franky and Jennie which has been really helpful, and now I would love to hear from as many of you as possible. If you have any spare time at all I'd really appreciate any feedback comments/emails (to eliseetc@hotmail.co.uk).
Also, it seems cheeky to ask, but if you would like to help me out by adding the little Sawyer & Scout button link from my sidebar somewhere on your blog/website I'd be really grateful :)

I hope you're going to like the changes over at Sawyer & Scout!

Week In Photos 20.

I love the waves that fishtail braiding creates, plus the braid itself is a cute style too! / Topshop's Gypsy Night polish is a new firm favourite / My new furniture arrived which I posted briefly about here, I love it so much <3 / I thought a WIP post might pass by without any HP this week, apparently not... I had my Philosopher's Stone DVD out again several times / You just have to love popping candy, right? I have to say though, that apple flavour really did smell like nail polish remover! / Sawyer got to choose his own carrot and got rather excited, cuuuute
I always forget to take photos when I'm doing interesting things, total fail.

Also this week I rejoined Tumblr and I'm planning to stick with it this time, so please feel free to follow me there as well! If you know any great Tumblrs that you think I should check out leave me some links in the comments here or on Twitter :)

Home.

So if you follow me on Twitter you may have seen me mention that my new furniture finally arrived on Thursday. It was ordered way back in February and was supposed to arrive in June but the wardrobe got delayed. As it was ordered online I was starting to worry that it might not be worth the wait but I have to say I really love it! I've always wanted some proper wooden furniture like this, it's painted cream but the tops are mango wood which is such a beautiful colour. The rug seemed an appropriate choice as it's nice and neutral but still has a pattern to it with the cute plaited ropes and the drawer liners smell like parma violets, amazing. I picked them both up from TK Maxx.
Now I'm just having trouble finding the right homes for everything... sigh.

Nail polish, Cardigan, Jumper & Snood: Topshop, Parka: H&M, Bag, Dress & Shorts: Tesco, Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell

Tesco has some lovely bits on their website at the moment, I particularly like the colour of the dress and shorts. A few months back I had wanted to get the dinosaur t-shirt from Topshop but never got around to it, the jumper is pretty good too though! And the parka.... I love it so much, the perfect winter jacket for me, but annoyingly none in sight at my local store and sold on in size 8 online, sadface.

I'm off to catch up on blogs, clear out my room for my furniture delivery tomorrow and impatiently wait for my Pottermore email to arrive.

Saturday with Sawyer

Sawyer had a little trip to the vets today, he really hates car journeys, so when we got home he had some popcorn and a little run around. He's been a bit of a hit here before so I thought I'd share a few of these.

Keep Calm & Marry Ron

My t-shirt from Skreened finally arrived today!
They print onto American Apparel T-shirts so it's lovely and soft and the print is great quality too. You can choose from lots of different colours and designs but I went for a simple white short sleeved one as I thought the print would show up best on white. I spent quite a lot of time deciding on which size to order as it's a bit of a pain to return things when the company is so far away! However they do have some helpful little sizing charts on the website so I measured up one of my favourite t-shirts and went for the closest size on the chart. As they are based in the US it did take a little while to arrive (just over two weeks) but I'm pretty pleased with it and would definitely order from them again.
The design I chose is from the Keep Calm HP shop featuring the illustrations from this tumblr. Next up I'd like "keep calm and sort out your priorities", my favourite Ron quote.
Have you ordered from Skreened before, what did you think?

I'm off to start work on some new things for Sawyer & Scout, I hope you're going to like them!
& I hope everyone has been keeping safe this week.

Striped Tee, Blue Jumper, Bag, Snood, Sandals & Mittens: Topshop, Dress & Ring: ASOS, Navajo Jumper: River Island

After many weeks of struggling to find enough items for these posts, it's that time of year when the A/W collections are creeping in and suddenly I have too much choice! And that means you guys get presented with this weird combination of sandals and mittens...
I actually went and tried on the River Island jumper today but unfortunately I left empty handed as it was huge! It looked okay from the front but the back looked horrible. If I happen to see the smaller size at any time I will be trying it again though, I can't resist that design or those colours!
Personally I'm pretty excited to see more Wintery clothes appearing again, I love knitwear so Summer does make me a little sad sometimes. I bought the softest jumper last week but I can't wear it yet, torture.
Are you looking forward to putting on your scarves, jumpers and boots, or are you still attached to sandals and shorts?

Week In Photos 18.

Watching The Prisoner of Azkaban, one of my preferred HP films / Got some rhubarb & custards, these are hands down my favourite sweets / Attempting to rock the statement nail this week with Rimmel Aqua Cool & Topshop Pool Party (bit of a theme there!) / Picked up the Topshop cream blush in Nutmeg. It's been on my wishlist for a while and this was the last one left so I snapped it up! / Sawyer was being so loud Saturday morning running around his hutch and moving everything so I brought him inside to run and all he did was snooze, adorable <3 / Found this beautiful sleeveless shirt in Topshop, can't wait to wear it! / H&M bracelets & Primark earrings / Found these crisps in the 99p store, they're really nice but man are they spicy! I had to eat some rhubarb & custards to get rid of the chilli taste haha /    Another "last one in the shop" purchase, Topshop's Gypsy Night polish, also now checked off my wishlist / Shopping for sweets to go with my friend's birthday present, so much choice! / I actually got so frustrated with the space restriction on Blogger that I moved to Word to write my Deathly Hallows post / Been teaching my mum to make risotto

Gosh that turned out to be a lot more typing than I had anticipated. I'd like to thank the people who took the time to read and comment on my previous post, I love getting those "essay" type of responses as discussing films is something I really love, so thank you! If anyone has any film recommendations for me please do drop me an email, comment here or come find me on Twitter,  I'd absolutely love to hear from you, and I don't bite, honest!

P.S There's still time to enter Jennie's Sawyer & Scout giveaway!!
